Waves of twenty meters and winds of 120 kilometers per hour swept the Hazana, the ship that Tami Oldham and her fiancé, Richard Sharp, sailed with the mission of delivering the ship to clients across the Pacific, from Tahiti to San Diego . Adrift is the story of his adventure.
And this is the trailer. And it promises adventure. It does not seem, at first glance, the usual four-and-a-half telefilm. And this may be due to the interesting team of people behind this movie. Added to the prominence of Shailene Woodley and Sam Claflin is the director Baltasar Kormakur, the person in charge of Everest.
Behind his script, six hands, are the Kandell brothers, Aaron and Jordan, responsible for the story of Moana, and with David Branson Smith, the screenwriter of Ingrid Goes West and assistant Mike White in Iluminada, the excellent series of this last for HBO, with Laura Dern.
It opens in the US on June 1. A month before the official book of the film will appear. Do not click if you do not want to know anything else about the trip and its result. But I leave it to you anyway. Oldham and Sharp were delivering to 44-foot yacht, Hazana, from Tahiti to San Diego in 1983 when the storm hit. She navigated using a sextant and watch, survived on peanut butter and canned food, and sailed 1,500 miles in 41 days to reach safety in Hilo, Hawaii. She self-published the book in 1998.
Fox recently moved "Deadpool 2" forward to May 18. BH Tilt has also come to June 1 with tech thriller "Upgrade," starring Logan Marshall Green, Betty Gabriel, Harrison Gilbertson, Simon Maiden, and Benedict Hardie. Leigh Whannell directs. Producers are Jason Blum of Blumhouse, Kylie du Fresne of Goalpost and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones of Automatik.
